Theory crafting: heat throughout workout followed by ADS with ice?

Seen this idea float around before. Anybody have any success using NIR or heating pads throughout length/girth work then incorporating ice/cold with a very light ADS stretch for 30-60 mins? Very bro science, but wondering if that would lock in some of the gains.
