Leading Ukrainian 'statesman' and 'patriot' assassinated in western Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the “horrific murder” of Andriy Parubiy, 54, a leading figure in Ukraine’s pro-European protest movements who was shot and killed in Lviv on Saturday. A former speaker of parliament, Parubiy also previously served as secretary of the National Security and Defence Council.
