[td]On August 22, a tropical disturbance designated Invest 90W by the JTWC was upgraded to a tropical depression east of Aurora by the PAGASA and the JMA. As it was inside the PAR, the PAGASA assigned the local name Isang. Shortly after that, the system made its first landfall over Casiguran at 09:50 PHT (01:50 UTC). Afterwards, JTWC designated Isang as Tropical Depression 19W as it entered the West Philippine Sea. The system continued to organise and intensified into a tropical storm on the morning of August 23, receiving the name Kajiki from the JMA. Kajiki then crossed into the South China Sea, where favourable conditions allowed it to strengthen further, reaching severe tropical storm status by 12:00 UTC. It reached its peak as a Category 2-equivalent typhoon on August 24 before making landfall between Nghệ An and HΓ  TΔ©nh around 18:00 ICT (11:00 UTC) on the following day. The storm later rapidly deteriorated as it moved inland, and it dissipated as a result on August 26.[/td]

[td]On August 27, the JMA recognized a tropical depression off the coast of northwestern Luzon. However, the agency downgraded it to a low-pressure area six hours later. It eventually regained tropical depression status the following day as it moved westwards over the West Philippine Sea. The PAGASA named it Jacinto on the following day, the replacement name for Jolina, as the agency followed suit just east of Subic Bay. The JTWC later did the same thing and designated Jacinto as 20W. On August 30, JMA assigned the name Nongfa, the replacement name of Faxai as it nears Vietnam.[/td]
