As seen during the 2025 WWE SummerSlam Sunday PLE, Brock Lesnar made his surprise return to WWE in his first appearance since SummerSlam 2023. Lesnar attacked John Cena with an F5 to end the show.

Lesnar was brought back to WWE despite being named in Janel Grant’s ongoing sex trafficking lawsuit against Vince McMahon. While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez said the following about the situation…

Meltzer: “He’s not a defendant in the case, but it’s gross behavior—really ugly. I’m not defending it, but this is a very sleazy company, and they’re going to do sleazy things. None of it should surprise you. What will happen? Look, Slim Jim—I mean, the only thing that got them [WWE] to do something was the sponsors. If you’re mad and want to call sponsors, do that. Maybe it’ll work, maybe it won’t.”

Alvarez: “Slim Jim of all people was what finally got rid of Vince. They pulled out and they [WWE] dumped Vince. So if Slim Jim decides they don’t like Brock Lesnar, he’s gone.”

During the August 4th 2025 edition of RAW, WWE displayed a graphic sponsored by Minute Maid with the following message…

“WWE Fact of the Night: Brock Lesnar’s return received 75 million social views within the first 12 hours!”

Twitter/X @sarahlicity tagged Minute Maid with the following message…

“I mean, you brought back a willing participant in the sexual abuse of trafficking of a vulnerable woman, but I’m glad you got all of those social media views. I hope it was worth it. Hey @MinuteMaid, are you proud that your brand is associated with this?”
