::::::One could indeed wonder why the 747SP has a separate table, particularly when it's also included (as one might expect) in the table in the main 747 article. DaveReidUK (talk) 10:03, 13 June 2025 (UTC) |

:::::::A very important point not mentioned so far is the difficulty of learning how to code tables, especially for new editors. I personally can't use them, probably because I am the dumbest editor on Wikipedia, I can not spot vandalism of table coding. Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Tables states that Overusing tables, especially with complex coding, can make pages harder to edit and maintain, so careful consideration should be given to their structure. ::::::::While I agree that wiki table coding isn't necessarily intuitive, that is hardly a sufficient reason to eschew tables. A standardised spec table template with parameters such as length_variant1, wingspan_variant2 and the like would totally obviate this argument. *:We are debating whether to change the style guide. Would you please give the reasoning for that because the style guide sure doesn’t give any (and never has since its inception). Sylvexter69 (talk) 17:20, 6 June 2025 (UTC) |
