::::::I'm not holding my breath, but it would be awesome for the books to be reprinted by another company, or even for new stories to start being published. Tie-ins and novelization don't tend to receive much attention but you can definitely find great writing in such works. It really is a shame that we don't see such novels being published as often anymore. As you say, it's probably cause people nowadays are more likely to watch/play something than read. :/ |

::::::Sidenote, although I've only seen a few episodes here and there, Seven of Nine has always been one of my favourite Star Trek characters. Maybe Jeri Ryan is just that magnetic? Lol. :::::::PanagiotisZois I should check it out. I have actually never seen a Final Destination movie, but I think that it shows how much impact the franchise has when I know about multiple death sequences (with the logging truck and the tanning bed ones coming to mind for me). It is such a strong concept that can done in so many different ways. I agree with you about the Internet Archive lol. It is such a great resource, particularly for things that you are unlikely to get physically (or in case just can't at all). |

:::::::Unfortunately, I agree that it is unlikely that the books would get republished. It is a shame because I would imagine that the reprinting process would not be too difficult. I think a small reprinting, with promotional material tied to the new film, could have been a fun way to gauge interest, but I know very little about that so I could be wrong lol. |

:::::::It is a shame that tie-ins and novelizations are not as popular. There really is so much great writing for those. For instance, I remember really enjoying the Ultraviolet novelization even if I did not enjoy the movie lol. It does seem that people would prefer to watch or play something instead, but writing is really able to convey things that a movie or a TV series or a video game cannot. I know Star Wars still does tie-ins and novelizations, but that's the only one I can really think of off the top of my head. |

:::::::I am glad that you enjoyed the Star Trek episodes. I think that a lot of what made Seven of Nine great was Ryan's performance. I love the writing and development of the character, but I'd imagine that was a lot to take on for an actor, especially when thrown in the middle of a series. It is cool that she has been involved in different genres, like sci-fi (Star Trek) and horror (Dracula 2000). Aside from Voyager, I remember really liking her on Boston Public (a drama about a high school) and in Leverage (a show about a team doing heists to help people). I'd love to see her be on Leverage: Redemption more. |

:::::::Sorry for going on a bit of a tangent there lol. How is everything going with you? It is still crazy to me that it is already July. Hopefully, you are having a good 2025 so far! Aoba47 (talk) 01:07, 13 July 2025 (UTC) |
