Codes Unlimited was a game enhancer cheat code website founded in 2000 by Smokey "Codemasta" Rev. The concept for the website was born back in 1999 when Smokey joined the [http://GameShark.com GameShark.com] message boards and began using a GameShark Pro on his Playstation and later Dreamcast & PS2. He was intrigued with how codes were created, how they worked. He began to tinker and create his own codes. Smokey now wanting a place to publish his own codes set up his own message board on the [http://Proboards.com ProBoards.com] service under the name of ''CodeWorld''. He would later move off the service after 3 to 6 months of use and set up another forum on InvisionFree, that only lasted a short while before he was offered a deal to be hosted by a friend he met on Gameshark's boards. The layout of the forums was inspired by other code enhancer forums such as [http://CMGSCCC.com CMGSCCC.com] now known as [http://Codetwink.com CodeTwink] as well as GSCentral. |

Now hosted by Trel as a subdomain off his own site called [https://web.archive.org/web/20040224160730/http://krahs-emag.com/ Krahs-Emag] (Gameshark spelt backwards) Trel hosted a lot of forums ran by members of the Gameshark Community during this time. Now with the full power of Invision Power Board version 1.1.2 at their disposal, Smokey and a small group of Misfits worked on getting their new [https://web.archive.org/web/20031221205433/http://codeworld.krahs-emag.com/ website] & [https://web.archive.org/web/20030711104642/http://codeworld.krahs-emag.com/forums/ forums] created. Sometime in 2007, Smokey was discussing the possibility of bringing back Codes Unlimited with one of his former admins, a man known as Grizzly who conveniently only lived one state away. The two began discussing plans to bring back Codes Unlimited, at the time, Smokey was unable to pay for a host, and now with Invision Power Board behind a paywall, he also wasn't able to afford the license. Grizzly stepped in and purchased hosting from IPS themselves which included a license for their entire suite. The two began re-assembling the team and bringing back Codes Unlimited, with the plan of making the main site be based off the "Pages" extension within IPS and letting it all be handled through one convenient system. Unfortunately, due to some unforseen circumstances, the project only lasted a brief time and ultimately, Codes Unlimited was put on ice, permanently. |

'''Legacy''' |
||
Codes Unlimited (CU) was Smokey's legacy, it was his baby, his first website that he ran with the friends he made along the way of learning how to run a forum and manage a website, friends he was sure he'd have for a long time with the shared bond of gaming and the occasional cheating in games. Unfortunately, life has a way of switching things up. None of the original team is together anymore and Smokey has made a new site, after a few smaller failed attempts after Codes Unlimited, he's created Revillution in July of 2009. Revillution has the same heart & spirit of it's predecessor, Codes Unlimited, minus the cheat codes. The memory & spirit of Codes Unlimited lives on through Revillution. Revillution turns 16 years old in 2025. |
