Ayo Oluwagunna was born and raised in Nigeria into a Muslim family. He had a life-transforming conversion experience by which he became a Christian on 13 September 1990. |

He began his primary education at Lagos Premier Day School (1975–1982), and later attended Ansar-Ud-Deen Secondary School, Lagos (1983–1988). He obtained a National Diploma in General Arts from The Polytechnic, Ibadan, graduating with Distinction as the best student in the department in 1992. He proceeded to the [https://www.uniben.edu/ University of Benin], where he earned a First Class Honours degree in Fine and Applied Arts (Graphics Major) in 1997. He graduated as the overall best student in the university and was Valedictorian at the 1998 convocation ceremonies. |

He later pursued theological training, earning a [https://wats.edu.ng/ Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from West Africa Theological Seminary, Lagos], where he was also the best graduating Master’s student in 2017. He later served as Head of Creative and Production at CSA, a branding and logistics firm in Lekki, Lagos (2004). |
