The EU chief hailed the agreement as a huge deal and stated that it sets US tariffs on goods from Europe at 15%. Earlier, the EU had faced the looming threat of a 30% levy on its exports to the US, starting on August 1. Meanwhile, Trump added that the EU has promised to buy $750 billion worth of energy from the US and invest an additional $600 billion in American projects.
