What are ways to turn down sex that won't make someone upset?

I'm always told that "I'm tired" and "I don't feel good" aren't good enough reasons, but I don't know how I'm expected to do something so energy consuming when I'm feeling like that. What would be a good way to say this that won't make women upset?
