I am a girl from Brazil, and we are used to wearing thongs on the beach. Is there any problem with wearing them in Europe, specifically in Italy and France? I once went to the United States, to a beach in North Carolina, and was warned by the officials not to wear one. I was shocked by that, as I thought America was more accepting and open-minded than Brazil.
