VMs Are Here!

Hey everyone! We’re excited to announce that today, Virtual Machines (VMs) are officially live on Vast.ai!

What does this mean for you?

- More control: Install exactly the software you need—no more limitations!

- Better compatibility & workflows: Run Docker inside the VM and easily set up AI workloads.

- Low-level access: Use advanced debugging and profiling tools (ptrace, BPF, NVIDIA Nsight features) that are not compatible with Docker containers.

Available Now:

We have VMs running on Multi RTX 40X0 and 30X0. Ready to give it a go? There’s a ready-to-use Ubuntu 22.04 VM template just waiting for you.

Getting Started:

1. Add an SSH key: Make sure you have one in your account guide here.
2. Select the Ubuntu 22.04 VM template: Find it in the recommended templates or click here to load it.
3. Configure & Rent: Adjust disk storage as needed, then rent!

Note that the selected template will filter your results for only the consumer GPUs that we have compatible with VMs right now.
