Footage claiming to show President Donald Trump falling on a lawn recently went viral β but it turns out the video was generated by artificial intelligence.
The viral clip

An image shared on X appeared to show a blurry Trump lying in the grass following an apparent fall. The post racked up more than 1.8 million views, with many users believing it was real. In the bottom-left corner, a caption read, βTrump is in the Epstein files.β Some users replied with AI-generated videos made using Grok, depicting Trump crawling across the grass β but those, too, were fake.
AI strikes again

This isnβt the first time Trump has been the subject of AI-generated misinformation during his second term. Despite being a frequent target, Trump has publicly supported AI and even shared altered content himself β including a fake video of former President Barack Obama being arrested.
When Trump really fell

While the lawn video is fake, Trump did suffer a real stumble earlier this year. After speaking to reporters in Morristown, New Jersey, Trump tripped while boarding Air Force One before heading to Camp David. He wasnβt alone β Secretary of State Marco Rubio, walking just behind him, also appeared to misstep on the stairs.
Presidential falls

Trump isnβt the only president to trip in public. (MEGA)
Trump joins a list of presidents whoβve taken a tumble on the tarmac. In 2021, former President Joe Biden fell while climbing the steps of Air Force One β an incident his press secretary blamed on the wind, according to ABC News. Trumpβs team reportedly used that clip in campaign ads like βJugular,β βWho Is Laughing Nowβ and βNot A Young Guy,β aiming to cast doubt on Bidenβs fitness for office.
