The vet said he might not make it, but two years later, Batman is thriving.

I was on a bike ride on August 2nd, 2023, my 27th birthday. This little guy was sitting in the road, so I stopped and he climbed right up my leg and wrapped his paws around my neck. I knocked on some doors to see if he belonged to anyone and nobody answered. It was raining, and his eye was mostly closedβ€” it looked really, really bad. I was never a cat person, always had a dog and never got the appeal of cats, but I couldn’t leave the little guy in the road. I pedaled home, holding him in one hand and took him straight to the vet. They weren’t sure he would live and told me the little guy had a hole in his eye and feline herpes. Two years and a lot of medication later, he’s thriving, healthy, and the best cat I’ve ever met. I named him Batman because he hadn’t quite grown into his ears when I found him.
