Fox News host Sean Hannity had Cruz on his show to discuss Newsomโs new social media tactic, which is all about mimicking President Donald Trumpโs behavior, like writing in all caps and posting random AI-generated memes. โIf he wants to act like President Trump, letโs see if he can pull it off,โ Hannity told Cruz, giving the politician, who was licking his chops, a chance to add his points. Cruz went off. โGavin Newsom is very good at being slick. Heโs very good at running away from the facts and running away from the record,โ the Texan fumed. โGavin Newsom and the rest of the Democratic party exist for one purpose right now โ to hate Donald Trump,โ Cruz added, just as music began to play.
Newsom trolling Trump for weeks

Despite the music being turned up, Cruz didnโt relent. โThe Democrats like Gavin Newsom, they are boiling, they are unhappy. The corporate media, they are boiling, theyโre unhappy,โ Cruz raged. He then referenced the California governorโs 2023 meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, adding, โHe cleaned up all the homeless people and drug addicts!โ Hannity then thanked him for his time โ all while the music continued to blare. Social media users were quick to mock Cruz, with one person calling him an โembarrassment.โ Another commenter added, โGavin is having Trump on toast, completely triggering the Republicans,โ while yet another wrote, โI am happy you talk about Governor Newsom so much right now on Fox, it is exactly what he wants, so good job, keep it up!โ
Perino is sick of Newsom too

Fox News host Dana Perino recently lost it on-air over Newsomโs social media behavior, begging the governorโs wife, Jennifer, to step in and end the madness. โYou have to stop it with the Twitter thing,โ she begged on an episode of The Five. โI donโt know where his wife is? If I were his wife, I would say, โYou are making a fool of yourself, stop it!'โ Fox colleague Tomi Lahren has also complained about Newsomโs antics. โGavin and his team of beta males who sit down to p** actually think theyโre trolling the president and actually think this is making Gavin look like a bada**,โ she wrote on X. However, this comment only led Newsomโs press office to joke on the platform, โTomiโs account is basically Yelp for toilets now.โ
Trump is no fan of Newsom
