The enabling act never got rid of the Weimar Republic constitution, so wouldn’t it be more accurate to specify this was the de facto state from 1933 to 1945? ::The ''ErmΓ€chtigungsgesetz'' (Enabling Act) of 1933 did not abolish the Weimar Constitution, which technically remained in force until 1945. In practice, however, the act transferred legislative and constitutional authority to Hitler’s government, rendering the constitutional framework meaningless. While the Weimar Republic persisted ''de jure'' as a hollow shell, the Nazi regime exercised unchecked power ''de facto'', creating a dictatorship that bore little resemblance to the democratic order it had supplanted.--[[User:Obenritter|Obenritter]] ([]) 17:22, 3 September 2025 (UTC)
