The White House has tapped Jim O'Neill, a deputy of health and human services secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and a longtime vaccine skeptic, to become the new acting director of the CDC after Susan Monarez was fired weeks into the job. Current employees rallied outside the agency’s headquarters in Atlanta to cheer on four leaders who resigned in protest. NBC’s Gabe Gutierrez reports for TODAY.
