On Friday, Palestinian factions in several Beirut refugee camps handed over their weapons to the Lebanese army, an official confirmed, as part of the government’s push to disarm non-state groups. The army has completed the collection of arms in a camp near Beirut, signaling the start of efforts to place all weapons under state control.
