FKF Premier League (FKF-PL) side Murangโa Seal have secured the services of 22-year-old rising star Paul Osama from Mombasa United.
Osama, who impressed last season with National Super League (NSL) outfit, played a pivotal role in helping the club avoid relegation.
His standout performances, including five goals and multiple assists, caught the attention of top-flight teams.
Before his stint with Mombasa United, Osama spent a year in the United Arab Emirates playing for Division Two side Al Hilal.
Upon returning to Kenya, he featured for FKF Coast Regional League team Mombasa All Stars, eventually joining Mombasa United midway through last season.
Speaking exclusively to Citizen Digital after signing a one-and-a-half-year deal with Murangโa Seal, Osama described the move as a dream come true.
"Iโm really happy to have made this move. I worked hard in the NSL last season, and itโs rewarding to see that effort pay off," he said.
Adapting to his new environment hasnโt been without challenges, particularly due to the climate difference between Mombasa and Murangโa.
"Itโs been tough adjusting, especially with the weather, but Iโve now settled and feel ready for the new season," he added. "Training in the KPL is more intense than in the NSL, but Iโm used to adapting and changing my approach."
Paul Osama is the son of Kenyan football legend Godfrey Osama, who played for the Harambee Stars, Tusker FC, and Tanzanian giants Yanga FC. Paul is proud to follow in his fatherโs footsteps.
"Dad is my mentor. He played for top teams, including Bandari, Tusker, and the national team. He understands the journey, and Iโm glad Iโm on the right path," he shared.
"He was always disciplined and committed to his teams. Heโs helping me stay focused and instilling that same mindset in me."
Looking ahead, the attacking midfielder has set ambitious goals for the 2025-2026 KPL seasonโtargeting 15 goals and 10 assists.
"I know my potential. I want to win the KPL title someday and earn a call-up to the national team. Iโll push myself to the limit to achieve that."
