Labia and clitoral hood skin gets irritated

I love my Magic Wand. That thing can make me almost swear off men all together. But damn does it irritate my skin if I use it for too long! Have any of you ladies dealt with this? I make sure the area is well lubricated but it still happens. I was thinking of trying Lanolin?
