Kenya’s fast-rising striker Ryan Ogam has completed a move from Tusker FC to Austrian Bundesliga side Wolfsberger AC, marking a major milestone in his blossoming career.
The 20-year-old, born in Nairobi in December 2004, will link up with his new teammates after the international break.

Ogam shot to prominence during CHAN 2024, where his goals against Morocco and Zambia powered Kenya into the quarterfinals.
His exploits drew comparisons to national captain Michael Olunga, with Harambee Stars coach Benni McCarthy praising his “natural finishing and clever movement.”
Interestingly, Ogam’s career began in midfield. But when Tusker faced an injury crisis, he was pushed into attack from the defensive midfield position, a switch that transformed him into one of Kenya’s deadliest forwards.
He went on to score 15 goals in just 17 FKF Premier League appearances last season, cementing his reputation as one of the most dangerous forwards in Kenyan domestic football.
Having honed his game with clubs like Galaxy FC, Sunrise FC, and UEFA Despanol, Rainbow FC, and a brief stint in the UAE with Elite Falcons, Ogam’s rapid rise has now landed him on the European stage.
Returning to Kenya in 2024 with Tusker, Ogam’s form quickly earned him a national team call-up for the Mapinduzi Cup in January 2025. Since then, his rapid rise has made him one of the country’s brightest prospects.
