The FKF Women’s Premier League champions begin their campaign on Thursday, September 4, 2025, against Uganda’s Kampala Queens at Nyayo National Stadium. They headline Group A, which also includes Eritrea’s Denden FC.
Group B features defending champions Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE), alongside Top Girls Academy of Burundi and Rayon Sports WFC of Rwanda.
Group C is topped by Tanzania’s JKT Queens, joined by South Sudan’s Yei Joint Stars and Zanzibar’s JKU Princess.
“The girls are very ready to kick off the CECAFA tournament. Under the head coach Beldine Odemba, they have had intensive training and I believe the home advantage will enable us clinch the title and qualify for the CAF Women’s’ Champions League. As I said before, we will give each team the respect they deserve and we can’t underrate any team,” said Munga.
Munga further praised Odemba’s tactical experience, urging fans to turn out in large numbers at Nyayo Stadium and Ulinzi Complex to cheer the Bullets.
For Police Bullets, the mission is one of redemption.
Last year in Addis Ababa, they came agonizingly close to qualification but fell 1-0 to CBE in the final. This time, they are determined to seize their moment on home soil.
