I’m a lawyer but I’ve found now myself building a food side hustle from my apartment in Lagos

I’m a lawyer, but life took me on a different path. Instead of courtrooms and case files, I now find myself running a small food business out of my apartment kitchen in Lagos.

It started really small, just me trying out recipes and sharing with friends. Word spread faster than I expected, and now I’ve got regulars who swear by my cravings. What surprises me the most is how profitable it’s become without a big startup budget. Started with only 150k and grit..lol

It hasn’t been smooth though. Juggling supplies, marketing, and keeping customers happy while still looking for remote gigs has been tough. But watching people enjoy what I make and actually pay for it has been worth it.

I’m not ready to share every detail about the business itself, but if anyone’s interested I can talk about what I’ve learned starting small, building trust with customers, and figuring out how to grow without outside investors.
