So I (23F) started to feel itchy around march 2025. I thought its a minor infection and will go away with a weekβs medication. It didnt get better. I was diagnosed with mixed vagintis and cervicitis. It hurts and burns real bad everytime we try to have sex. I thought it will get better and it did also. The infection was almost completely gone last month but it severely relapsed and I still cant have sex. The itching is on and off, The doc now wants to do a pap smear to understand why its so recurrent. I am starting to feel like it will never get better and I cant even picture myself having sex again and on top of it, now im afraid of cancer too. Has this happened to anyone for such long duration and is it common?? Does it get better?? How long will it take for me to be able to have normal sex after the infection is gone!!
