Hey everyone,
I recently published my first Android app, DishDex, and wanted to share it here because I'd love to get feedback from other devs.
The idea came from my travels: I love trying local food, but I kept finding myself Googling dish names and ingredients to understand what I was eating. So I decided to build something that helps people explore dishes, learn about ingredients, and filter based on dietary needs.
Right now, the app lets you:
β’ Browse dishes by country or region
β’ See ingredients and origins
β’ Filter for diets (vegan, vegetarian, etc.)
β’ Adjust preferences like spice level and allergens
This is v1.0, so it's still a work in progress (some bugs and image quality issues to fix). iOS is coming soon, but Android is live now.
Iβd really appreciate any feedback on UI/UX, or feature ideas (multilingual support and favorites are next on my list).
Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.marco.dishdex
I'd also love to hear how you all approach your first launches!
