Harder to stretch the last 2 days…

I’ve been doing PE for about six weeks now. Everything was humming along well, but the last couple of days I’ve noticed that I’m having a harder time in the extender getting it to the place. I have been getting it to. Is this a sign that I need rest? If so, how do you know how long to rest in a situation like that?
