:I think arguments to redirect were more persuasive given the general [[WP
P|deletion policy]] (which advises only to delete the page - which drafting partially does - if absolutely necessary) and suggesting a reasonable redirect target per [[WP:ATD-R]]. If you want to create a spin-off version in draft space, you can still do that, and move it into mainspace over the redirect if you have [[WP
M|page mover]] rights (or asking somebody who does it to do it for you if you don't). :I think arguments to redirect were more persuasive given the general [[WP
P|deletion policy]] (which advises only to delete the page - which drafting partially does - if absolutely necessary) and suggesting a reasonable redirect target per [[WP:ATD-R]]. If you want to create a spin-off version in draft space, you can still do that, and move it into mainspace over the redirect if you have [[WPM|page mover]] rights (or asking somebody who does it to do it for you if you don't).
