Hello to all, I just want to start off by saying that although I am not from Nigeria (I'm a Black American from Florida), I do know that I have ancestry from Nigeria and I wanted to know if anyone here could do some research for me. I want to change my last name not only for personal reasons, but to create a new identity for myself and I want a last name that fits well with my first name, Jordan, and that ties in with my Nigerian ancestry. There is a last name that I found which is Daukoru but the only person that I found that has this name is a former Nigerian minister by the name of Edmund. All relevant Google searches are showing that this last name doesn't have any public information about the meaning other than its origins. I do like this last name but at the same time, I don't want to accidentally choose a name that may be of this former minister's lineage since there isn't anyone that I see with this last name. If there is anyone here that may know the meaning behind this last name and if it is or is not directly tied to his lineage, please let me know. If not, can any of you suggest any unique, rare, or very uncommon last names that are from Nigeria, regardless of the ethnic group?
