After recent announcements by France, the UK, and Canada, Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot on Tuesday said his country will recognise the State of Palestine at the United Nations General Assembly this month, adding that it will impose "firm sanctions" on the Israeli government amid the "humanitarian tragedy" unfolding in Gaza.
