The following section was formerly in the article, but it is not appropriate for Wikipedia, reading as an advertisement, containing non-notable research, and referenced by a source that I cannot seem to trace. [[User_talk:The_Thadman|אמר]] [[User:The_Thadman|Steve Caruso]] 20:21, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

:May I suggest to add if not a section, then at least reference to recent reviews? e.g. There are reviews of D-faction extracted from Maitake, including completed Phase I/II [[clinical trial]] demonstrating that "Treatment with sulfated polysaccharide obtained from Grifola frondosa (S-GFB) resulted in apoptosis of HepG2 cells", and "In a phase I/II trial of breast cancer survivors, Grifola frondosa extract acted as an immunomodulator." Same trial has concluded: "There appears to be no “maximum dose”, only “optimal dose” depending on the immunologic endpoint."[https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3751581/] [[User:Xobbitua|Xobbitua]] ([[User talk:Xobbitua|talk]]) 09:17, 7 July 2025 (UTC)
