Taiwan Begins Military Drills Amid Threat of Potential Chinese Invasion | Vantage with Palki Sharma Taiwan launched its largest-ever military drills on July 9, starting with simulated attacks on its command systems and infrastructure. Termed as Han Kuang exercises, Taiwan has mobilised the largest number of reservists, some 22,000 who have joined the regular troops. The exercise will last for 10 days. The military drill will also feature a newly-delivered High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) originally developed for the U.S. Army. These military drills are aimed at boosting the self-ruled island's defence against a potential Chinese invasion.
