South Korea: Medical Students End 17-Month-Long Class Boycott | N18G Thousands of South Korean students are set to return to class after a 17-month-long boycott, according to the Korean Medical Association. Students and trainee doctors in the country opposed the government's plans to increase medical school admissions, stating that this would lower the quality of education they receive. Prime Minister Kim Min-Seok welcomed the end of the boycott, describing it as a "big step forward". The government aimed to increase the annual admission of medical students to universities from approximately 3,000 to around 5,000, stating that more staff were needed to meet the demand. --- South Korea | South Korea Students | South Korea Education | Trainee Doctors Protest | Firstpost | News Live | World News | Latest News | Global News | International News | News | Trending News #southkorea #southkoreastudents #southkoreaeducation #traineedoctorsprotest #firstpost #newslive #worldnews #latestnews #globalnews #news #internationalnews #trendingnews Firstpost is an Indian news and media website.
