LIVE: Was Fuel Cut Off? Air India Crash Probe Throws Up More Questions | Vantage with Palki Sharma The preliminary investigation report on fatal Air India Ahmedabad crash which killed 260 people reveals that on June 12 moments after take off, both fuel switches were turned off. The voice recorded reveals a conversation between the two pilots as they switched on both the fuel switches. Moments after, the plane crashed killed everyone on-board except one passenger. The pilots' association has criticised the report calling it biased. Victims' kin are also dissatisfied with the report as it fails to give proper reason behind the mishap. Union Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu has warned that the findings are only preliminary, and one must wait for the final report. The report also mentions of a 2018 fuel switch advisory issued by the US Aviation Authority for Boeing 737 plane warning that the fuel switch system has been compromised. Boeing 787 used the same mechanism.
