LIVE: Kenya-Israel Defence Boost: SPYDER Missiles to Counter Regional Threats | Firstpost Africa | N18G Kenya is set to receive a $26 million loan from Israel to boost its air defence with the advanced SPYDER missile system. The mobile, surface-to-air system can intercept aircraft, drones, and guided munitions, offering 360-degree protection. The loan, to be disbursed in July 2025, will fund new acquisitions and repay a previous defence loan. It will also cover nearly 70% of Kenya’s defence development budget for the 2025/26 fiscal year.
