LIVE: India Tests Akash Prime, Nuclear-Capable Prithvi-2, Agni-1 Missiles |Vantage with Palki Sharma The Indian Army test-fired Akash Prime, an upgraded variant of Akash Weapon System which was used extensively against Pakistan during Operation Sindoor. Co-produced by DRDO and Bharat Dynamics, Akash Prime has been built to chase down flying targets more reliably. Later, the Indian Army tested two short-range missiles - Prithvi with a range of 350 kilometers and Agni 1 with a range of 700-900 kilometres. India has depicted its defence preparedness and resilliance by testing these two nuclear capable-missiles. Further, India is deepening its defence ties with France to produce jet engines and develop AMCA project. India and Russia are also in talks to jointly develop Kalashnikov rifles.
