Indian Passport Makes Biggest Leap in Henley Index, Offers Visa-Free Travel to 59 Countries | N18G The Indian passport has made a big jump in the Henley Passport Index 2025 by climbing eight spots - from 85th to 77th. Indian passport holders now have visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 59 countries. This marks India's biggest jump in passport ranking over the past six months. Malaysia, The Philippines and Macao offer visa-free access to Indian passport holders, whereas, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Maldives offer visa-on-arrival. India's sharp rise has been attributed to diplomatic outreach and increase in bilateral agreements. This comes as the US and UK passports continue to experience a gradual decline in ranking.
