Bangladesh Army has started an ambitious modernisation program for its infantry soldiers named ''Infantry Soldier System''. This system includes equipping all of its soldiers with modern equipment like [[Night vision device|Night Vision Goggles (NVG)]], [[SPECTRA helmet|Ballistic helmets]], [[Goggles|Eye protective gear]], [[Bulletproof vest]], person to person communicators, palmtop [[GPS navigation device|GPS device]] and [[Type 81 assault rifle|BD-08]] assault rifles with [[Collimator sight]].
