Her mother, Madeleine Gérôme, was the great-niece of painter [[Jean-Léon Gérôme]] and the goddaughter and niece of Commandant Marcel Gérôme, leader of the Aspremont maquis, who was killed by the Germans in Nice in May 1944. An actress, she appeared in films by [[Jacques Deval]], Jean Dréville, André Cayatte, Gilles Grangier,[[Georges Lacombe (director)]] and Noël-Noël, and joined the Resistance alongside her husband during the war. |
